Photo Life and Photo Solution Magazines Present New Annual Photo Contest: The World We Live In September 13, 2011 — Leading Canadian photography magazines, Photo Life and Photo Solution, are inviting North American photographers to submit their best work to The World We Live In, in either the Pro or Amateur categories, under three themes: Humanity, The Environment, and Our Interconnected World. The world we live in is in constant evolution. Climatic, economic and social changes each have a great impact on our environment and on our personal lives. With The World We Live In, Photo Life and Photo Solution magazines invite photographers from all walks of life to capture images of people, cultural diversity, breathtaking landscapes as well as environmental statements, and to share their vision of the world. Participants are invited to submit their images through a simple on-line interface. Participation fees are required, with special rates for subscribers. The submission deadline is November 30. Winning images will be selected by a jury composed of photographic industry professionals. Winners will be awarded prizes valued at more than $35,000, including travel vouchers, digital cameras and lenses, photo bags and many other items of photo gear for both the professional and the amateur. A total of 20 prizes will be awarded; within each category of Pro and Amateur, there will be three for each theme and one Grand Prize. Notre monde est en constante évolution. Les changements climatiques, économiques et sociaux ont un impact sur notre environnement et sur nos vies personnelles. Avec Regards sur notre monde, les magazines Photo Solution et Photo Life invitent les photographes de tous horizons à capter des images de gens, de la diversité culturelle, de paysages à couper le souffle et à partager leurs opinions et leurs visions du monde. Les participants sont invités à transmettre leurs images en ligne via une interface simple. Des frais de participation sont demandés, avec des tarifs spéciaux pour les abonnés. La date limite de participation au concours est le 30 novembre 2011. Les images gagnantes seront sélectionnées par un jury composé de professionnels de l’industrie. Les gagnants se verront attribuer des prix d’une valeur totale de plus de 35 000 $ incluant des bons d’achat pour un voyage, des appareils photo, des sacs à dos, des objectifs et diverses pièces d’équipements professionnels et amateurs.
