Canon adds PowerShot S95

A year ago Canon introduced the S90 as a compact camera for “serious” photo enthusiasts. Now the company has announced the S95, which includes 720p HD video and a new in-camera HDR (high dynamic range) feature. It also incorporates Canon’s HS system, which improves image quality in low light.

The S95 carries forward with the S90’s impressive technical content such as a 10 megapixel CCD sensor, fast f2.0 28-105mm (3.8x) zoom lens, optical image stabilization, manual modes, raw file support and high ISO.

Canon Canada has set the SRP at $449.99. The S95 should be available by month’s end.
