Wildlife Photographer of the Year

The Royal Alberta Museum, Edmonton, presents the award-winning images and honourable mentions of the 46th annual edition of the international photography competition Wildlife Photographer of the Year. Open until January 9, 2011 the exhibition showcases more than 60 images, including 17 category winners that were chosen among over 43,000 entries from 94 countries. This is the only stop in North America for the 2009 touring exhibition. The Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition is organized by the Natural History Museum in London, England, as well as BBC Wildlife Magazine. The competition is open to amateur and professional photographers. The 2010 contest winners will be announced in October at an awards ceremony in London. Tour dates for the 2010 exhibition will be posted on-line shortly thereafter.
