The Banff Center for the Arts invites emerging curators who also have an interest in educational outreach to apply for their work study program beginning January 4, 2011 to June 30, 2011.

Research responsibilities will be linked to Creative Residency programs, Banff International Curatorial Institute events and Walter Phillips Gallery related activities such as exhibitions, tours and publications. The participant will also be involved in the writing and development of grant applications. Work study placements are appropriate for individuals wishing to leave their work worlds or formal advanced studies for a period of time to expand their careers, professional experience, and capabilities. These programs require full-time commitment and independent thinking. All participants sign a learning contract that assists in the evaluation of their work study experience.

The program offers a stipend of $425 per week. Application deadline is November 12, 2010. Visit the Banff Center Website for programs details.
