On friday, January 21, 2011 at 9 a.m. the Sanchez Brothers will lead an artist talk focusing on their photography and collaborative art making practice. Carlos and Jason Sanchez are a team of young artists, (33 and 28, respectively,) based in Montreal. Their photographs consist of lush and complex large-scale tableaux that act as psychological landscapes. Functioning as directors, every photograph is meticulously cast and staged to produce intriguing narratives that evoke a sense of mystery.
The Sanchez brothers have exhibited their art internationally at venues including Catherine Clark Gallery (San Francisco), Nicholas Metivier Gallery (Toronto), Caren Golden Fine Art (New York), MOCCA (Toronto), and Galerie Good Friday (Brussels). Their work can be found in numerous public and private collections. For more information on the session, please click here.
