67 Megapixel Camera for under $500

A little-known startup in Ontario’s tech triangle region has announced a 67 megapixel Micro Four Thirds camera based on its groundbreaking high-density CMOS-POC (processor-on-chip) sensor. Loof-Lirpa Corp. of Waterloo says the POC design means the camera doesn’t need a separate image processor, and wafer fab yields are so high the CMOS-POC sensor costs just pennies each.
