Willard Boyle, Nobel Laureate passed away last Saturday at the age of 86. Known for his incredible work in developing the CCD sensor, now used as the digital eye in most cameras produced today, his teaching and research career in physics led to many ground-breaking achievements including winning a Nobel Prize.
