A Tribute to George Buck Way Ling: Chinese Canadian Photographer traced in lines, shapes, shadow and texture; this exhibit presents a general synopsis of the photography of George B. W. Ling. Discover works from his Flower Dancer, Point Pleasant Park and Nova Scotia Landscape series. Born in Halifax in 1928 to a pioneering family of Chinese Nova Scotians, Ling began his photographic explorations at the age of 12 with a Brownie camera. Over the 70 years since then, Ling’s keen eye has led him to develop his craft and expand his body of work to encompass both analog and digital photography. It is the first public exhibition of the artist, exposed at Zwicker’s Gallery, Halifax, until August 6.
