Toronto’s Pikto Gallery is featuring an exhibition of work by Montreal-based photographer Jocelyn Philibert entitled, “In the Night,” opening September 7, and running through October 26.

Approaching his camera as an archaeological tool of investigation and revelation, Jocelyn Philibert’s work explores the mysterious tension between reality and fiction in nocturnal photography. Philibert studied communications at the Université du Québec à Montréal and has received many scholarships from the Canada Council for the Arts and the Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Québec. His work has been exhibited at York University (Toronto), ARTsPLACE (Annapolis Royal, NS), Neutral Ground (Regina, SK), Galerie Sans Nom (Moncton, NB), and numerous galleries across Québec.
