The Occupation

by valrac4_a3kqdy

Toronto’s Gallery 44 is exhibiting Ian Willms’ The Occupation until January 5. Willms went to St. James Park to document the Occupy Toronto experience. He listened to others’ stories, engaged in meaningful debates, slept on the ground, and was there when the park was evicted on November 23. Willms is an independent documentary photographer whose work explores the systematic disempowerment of abandoned people and the environments in which they live.
