Vancouver’s Simon Fraser University Teck Gallery is presenting Farah Nosh’s Stanley Park After the Storm of 2006 through March 9. This exhibition documents the devastation of the storm on December 15, 2006, which hit the coasts of British Columbia and Washington State. Vancouver-based Nosh went to Stanley Park on the day the storm had hit to cover the damage for The New York Times, and the resulting images of one the most destructive storms to hit the region were seen around the world. Conveying the fragility of our forests, the exhibition is both a documentation of the destruction of the storm in 2006 and a reminder of other environmental threats to the world’s forests.
