Toronto’s Stephen Bulger Gallery will be presenting First Photographs: Early Photographs of North American Indigenous Peoples from July 26 to September 15. With more than 50 prints, this exhibition showcases photographs of North American Indigenous Peoples. These ethnographic images were created by many photographers through diverse methods of early photographic techniques. Photographers include George Barker, D.F. Barry, W.P. Bliss, L.T. Burwash, Case & Draper, Drane, E.W. Hall, Hamilton & Hoyt, Richard Harrington, William E. Irwin, H.G. Kaiser, W.H. Martin, Hannah H. Maynard, Lee William Mohr, William M. Notman, S.W. Ormsby, William M. Pennington, Harry Pollard and Isaiah West Taler. The exhibition is co-curated by Rare Photo Gallery and Stephen Bulger Gallery.
