Currently in Oakville, Ontario, there is a series of special events, workshops, master classes, lectures and exhibitions celebrating Freeman Patterson’s birthday and his 50 years in photography, produced by Commissart Inc. Patterson is conducting a series of one-day master classes as part of the special events. Most of these are sold-out, but according to their website, a few spots remain for the following classes: Hamilton (Tuesday, October 30th, 1 opening), Oakville (Thursday, November 8th, 2 openings), and Oakville (Friday, November 9th, 2 openings). A visual design seminar will be held on October 27, with a full day of lectures on visual design, communication and expression. On November 3, Patterson will give a retrospective presentation on his career in photography. An exhibition of Patterson’s work will be on view from October 28 through November 4.
