The French photographer Luc Delahaye has been announced as the winner of the fourth Prix Pictet photography prize. Delahaye’s photographic work is focused on world events, conflict situations and social concerns. His large-scale colour images take a documentary approach, reflecting his previous experience as a photojournalist. UK photographer Simon Norfolk was awarded the fourth Prix Pictet Commission to work on a project in Afghanistan with the relief organization Medair. Through October 28, the exhibition Power is showcasing the work of the twelve shortlisted photographers at the Saatchi Gallery in London.
