Nikon has introduced two more cameras, two new lenses and an underwater case in its Nikon 1 Compact System Camera line. The J3 is a quick turnaround to the J2 introduced just months ago. It features the higher-resolution 14.2 megapixel sensor also used in the premium V2.
The S1 is the first model in the third line for the Nikon 1 brand. It uses a 10.1 megapixel sensor. It and the J2 both use the hybrid autofocus system that has distinguished the Nikon 1 line with exceptionally fast AF performance.
The 1 Nikkor 6.7-13mm is an ultrawide zoom (equivalent to a 18-35mm in FX/35mm format) while the 1 NIKKOR 10-100mm is a 10x wide to tele (equivalent to 27-270mm in FX/35mm format).
The WP-N2 underwater case for Nikon 1 will hold a J3 or S1 mounted with a 10-30mm lens. It is waterproof to approximately 40 m.
