From June 8 to October 13, Picturing the Canadian Pacific Railway will be on view at the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies in Banff. This mixed-media exhibition explores the changes in art from the late 19th century to today, while examining the Canadian Pacific Railway’s efforts between 1886 and 1914 to encourage artists to produce work promoting western Canada as a tourist destination and ideal location to settle.
