Arsenal Contemporary Art in Toronto is presenting Wakhan, an Other Afghanistan through August 30. This multidisciplinary exhibition features work by Canadian artist Varial Cédric Houin, in special collaboration with Fabrice Nadjari. The photography, video, and a feature-length art film featured in this exposition were inspired from their 400-km voyage through the Wakhan Corridor in northeastern Afghanistan. They filmed and photographed the Wakhi and the Kyrgyz tribes during their journey from the Himalayas and Hindu Kush mountain ranges to the border of China.
