From May 23 through 25, Henry’s is presenting Exposure, Canada’s largest photo and video consumer show, at the International Centre in Mississauga. Exposure will showcase new technologies and trends, host more than 60 exhibitors, and offer over 80 seminars during the weekend.
Colonel Chris Hadfield will give the keynote “Reflections from Space,” presented by Nikon Canada Inc., on Saturday, May 24, at 11 a.m. The astronaut, engineer, pilot and former commander of the International Space Station will share some images from the 45,000 photos taken from the International Space Station.
Award-winning portrait photographer Lynn Goldsmith will give a keynote entitled “Rock and Roll Stories,” presented by Epson Canada, on Saturday, May 24, at 1:00 p.m. Goldsmith has photographed stars including Bruce Springsteen, Michael Jackson and Bob Marley.
NYC-based portrait and fashion photographer Lindsay Adler will present the keynote “Lighting Techniques That WOW,” presented by Westcott & Sigma, on Sunday, May 26, at 12:30 p.m.
Stephanie Calabrese Roberts’ keynote is “The Art of Phoneography,” presented by Bell, on Friday, May 23, at 12:30 p.m. She is the author of Stephanie is the author of The Art of iPhoneography: A Guide to Mobile Creativity and Lens on Life: Documenting Your World Through Photography.
Exposure will also again have Hands-On Exotics with furry critters for you to photograph and the popular Bag Boutique. The Hands-On Lab sessions will offer in-depth demonstrations of the Canon 70D, Nikon D5300, Olympus OM-D E-M1 and Sony Alpha A7. The show will also have demos of the DJI Phantom 2 Flying Camera, exclusive to Henry’s in Canada. The Phoneography Pavilion will showcase some top camera phones and accessories, lenses, lighting and tripods designed to go with mobile cameras.
There’s also a photo contest with four categories: People, Travel, Macro and Landscape. Submissions are via Henry’s Facebook page, and three finalists in each category will be printed and mounted by Canon and featured in Canon’s Photo Gallery at the Exposure Show. The prize is one of four awesome Canon PIXMA PRO-10 printers.
