University of British Columbia’s Beaty Biodiversity Museum in Vancouver is presenting Ian Lane’s Shutterbug through September 6. Lane, a photography and insect enthusiast, donated over 10,000 slides to the Spencer Entomological Collection at the Beaty Biodiversity Museum. A valuable research resource, most slides include the date, location and subject’s species name. The museum has also planned family-friendly activities for visitors: a selfie bug dress-up area, ladybird bingo, a scavenger hunt of the museum, origami, and sketching bugs. Shutterbug is a part of Capture Photography Festival.
