Emerging Photographers is our annual competition that offers photography students, apprentice photographers and those just beginning their careers a unique opportunity to share their vision and talent with the world.
The contest is free and open to residents of Canada. Participants have until November 16 to send three images to be considered for the Best Canadian Emerging Photographers feature in the February/March 2016 issue of Photo Life.
One photographer will be chosen to receive the Photo Life Student Award, which will recognize the student participant with the most distinctive work. The recipient, selected from participants who are enrolled at a recognized Canadian photography program, will receive two essential tools to boost his or her emerging career: a web portfolio on photolife.com and a two-hour discussion with veteran photographer David duChemin. The first Photo Life Student Award recipient was Brandon Brookbank from Halifax.
