Scotiabank Photography Award 2016 Longlist Announced

The Scotiabank Photography Award Jury has announced the ten photographers on the 2016 long list. Since 2010 the Scotiabank Photography Award has recognized and supported mid- to late-career artists reaching for the next level of national and international recognition. The winner of the award will receive $50,000, a solo exhibition at Ryerson Image Centre, a primary exhibition at the 2016 Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival, and a book published by Steidl.

Jury Chair Edward Burtynsky stated, “Each one of these distinguished artists has a distinctive body of mature work which reflects a high level of excellence in contemporary Canadian photography.”
