Can I read the magazine online?

The complete digital version of the magazine is only available to our digital subscribers at the moment. However, sometimes we make PDFs of previous issues available to our community, so make sure you’re subscribed to our newsletter and Facebook page to stay informed!

How often is Photo Life published?

We publish Photo Life every two months (in January, March, May, July, September and November). The issues are usually available for purchase and sent to our subscribers a few weeks before their publication date.

Where can I purchase Photo Life?

You can buy subscriptions and individual copies of Photo Life magazine in our online store. Photo Life is also distributed to newsstands and photo retailers across Canada. Please refer to the Where to Find page to locate one near you.

How can I contribute to Photo Life?

We are always looking for new writers and photographers! Just make sure that you’re familiar with the content of the magazine and that you’ve read our submission guidelines before sending us your article ideas and images.

I have a store, and I’d like to sell Photo Life magazine. What should I do?

We’d love to see Photo Life in your store! Please email our publisher, Valérie Racine, at vracine@photolife.com.

How do Photo Life print subscriptions work?

We currently offer two print subscription packages. Since Photo Life is published every two months, the one-year subscription includes six issues, while the two-year subscription includes 12 issues.

When you purchase a subscription to Photo Life from our online store, our system will create a subscriber account for you. You will receive an automatically generated username and password by email. (You may change this password at any time.) This will allow you to manage your billing and shipping addresses, update your email, and purchase other products on photolife.com.

Unless your order was processed manually, your Photo Life subscription will renew automatically. You will receive a reminder by email a few days before the renewal is scheduled to be processed. The subscription fee is withdrawn once a year for the one-year subscription or every two years for a two-year subscription, based on your initial purchase date. You can cancel the automatic renewal anytime in your subscriber account.

How do Photo Life digital subscriptions work?

You can buy a digital subscription to Photo Life through our online store, the Apple Store or PocketMags.

When you purchase a digital subscription from the Photo Life store, our system will create a user account for you. This will allow you to manage your billing and shipping addresses, update your email, and purchase other products on photolife.com. You will receive an automatically generated username and password by email. You may change this password at any time.

Our digital subscription is available through our partner PocketMags for iPad and Android devices. Within 24 to 48 hours of your purchase, you will receive an email with instructions for connecting to your PocketMags account. Please note that this information is not the same as your user account on photolife.com.

Our digital subscriptions renew automatically. You will receive a reminder by email a few days before the renewal is scheduled to be processed. The subscription fee is withdrawn once a year, based on your initial purchase date. You can cancel the automatic renewal anytime in your user account on photolife.com.

If you purchase a Photo Life digital subscription from the Apple Store or PocketMags website, your account information and payments will be managed through the applicable website.

How can I cancel my subscription?

To cancel your subscription, access your subscriber account on photolife.com by using your username and password. In the Subscriptions tab, click on “Cancel.” The remaining issues included in your last subscription payment will be sent, and the automatic renewal will be deactivated.

How do I update my delivery address, email address or payment method?

We are still in the process of migrating our subscriber database to a new system. If your subscriber account was created before August 6, 2020, you will not be able to use your username and password to log in to your account.

To change your mailing address or other contact information, please email us at subscription@photolife.com with the appropriate information. We’ll process your request as quickly as possible.

When you purchase a digital or print subscription from the Photo Life store, our system will create an account for you. This will allow you to manage your billing and shipping addresses, update your email, and purchase other products on photolife.com. How do I renew my subscription to Photo Life?


IF YOU SUBSCRIBED BEFORE AUGUST 6, 2020
We are still in the process of migrating our subscriber database to a new system. If your subscriber account was created before August 6, 2020, you will not be able to use your username and password to log in to your account.

To renew your subscription, simply visit our Subscription page, choose a subscription package, and write “Renewal” in the order notes on the checkout page. By purchasing a subscription as a new customer, our system will immediately create a new account for you. You will then be able to manage your billing and shipping addresses, update your email, and purchase other products on photolife.com.

You can also email us at subscription@photolife.com with your renewal request as well as your current mailing address. We’ll create a manual renewal order for you, which will be put on hold until we have received and processed your payment.

IF YOU SUBSCRIBED AFTER AUGUST 6, 2020

You can also email us at subscription@photolife.com with your renewal request as well as your current mailing address. We’ll create a manual renewal order for you, which will be put on hold until we have received and processed your payment.

I can’t log in to my subscriber account on photolife.com, can you help?

Can I change my order?

You can change your order up until it has been processed for shipping. Contact us at shop@photolife.com with your order confirmation email and the changes requested, and we’ll follow up as quickly as possible.

What payment methods can I use?

We accept credit card payments through WooCommerce and Square (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover).

We can also take payments by cheque and PayPal. Simply contact us at subscription@photolife.com or shop@photolife.com and let us know the items you’d like to purchase. We’ll create a manual order for you, which will be put on hold until we have received and processed your payment.

How do I know if my order has been processed?

You will receive an email notification with your order confirmation details. Please double check the information displayed in this email, and contact us as soon as possible if you notice any errors. We will not be able to modify your order once it has shipped.

If you have purchased a subscription, once the payment is accepted your order will be set to “Processing” for as long as you have issues remaining in your subscription package.

Can you supply a receipt for my purchase?

Your order confirmation email can serve as a receipt.

When will you ship my order?

We usually ship orders a few times a week. A shipping confirmation email will be sent once your package is in the mail.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

We use the regular mail services of Canada Post. Please click here to view their delivery times. Please note that Canada Post is still experiencing delays related to safety measures and high demand. You can learn more in their latest updates. If you haven’t received your order within 10 to 15 business days, please email us at shop@photolife.com.

How much does shipping cost?


INDIVIDUAL MAGAZINES
Canada: $3 per issue
USA: $5 per issue
Outside Canada and the USA: $10 per issue

SUBSCRIPTIONS
Shipping is free across Canada for issues included in your subscription package. Shipping is $10 per year for U.S. residents and $90 per year for residents outside Canada and the U.S.

OTHER PRODUCTS
For products other than magazines, shipping costs will be added at checkout after entering a shipping address.

Can I track my order?

In order to keep shipping prices to a minimum, tracking is not possible at the moment.

Can I edit my shipping address?

Contact us as soon as possible so that we can make the change. Unfortunately, if your package has shipped and you made a mistake in your address when you placed your order, we will not be able to offer a refund or exchange.

If you are a subscriber, it is your responsibility to notify us of any address change at your earliest possible convenience. Delivery charges will apply for any issue that needs to be resent.

My order was placed more than 15 business days ago and still hasn’t arrived. What should I do?

Despite our best efforts, sometimes events beyond our control may delay the arrival of your order. If this is the case and your order has not arrived within 15 business days, please contact us by email at subscription@photolife.com or shop@photolife.com.

How can I make an exchange or get a refund?

We offer exchanges on damaged products or incorrect shipments only. Orders can be refunded if they have not yet been processed or shipped. Please send an email to subscription@photolife.com or shop@photolife.com with your request and order confirmation number.

If you are not satisfied with your subscription to Photo Life magazine, you can terminate it by contacting our customer service at 1-800-461-7468 or subscription@photolife.com. Any amount less than CAN$10 will not be refunded.

What do I do if my order arrives damaged, incorrect or incomplete?

Please send an email to subscription@photolife.com or shop@photolife.com with images of the damaged or incorrect product and your order confirmation number. We will send a replacement item within three business days by regular mail.
