When you know a critique is coming your way, how do you prepare? Do you tense up and brace yourself for something painful? That’s how I react when I sense criticism heading my way. But getting honest feedback is essential to improving as an artist.
The U.S. Copyright office has updated its regulations to specify:
“The Office will not register works produced by nature, animals or plants. Likewise, the Office cannot register a work purportedly created by divine or supernatural beings, although the Office may register a work where the application or the deposit copy(ies) state that the work was inspired by a divine spirit.”
